IDACE is a European association representing the views of its members, who are the dietetic food industry associations of the EU member states. In turn, the national associations represent the manufacturers of foods for particular nutritional uses.

A European forum

     IDACE achieves its aim of increasing understanding of foods for special dietary needs by:
     Communicating a common industry position on European issues
     Working with academics and scientists
     Exchanging views with health professionals and consumer groups representing patients, women, etc.
     Working with the European institutions in the development of food legislation

     IDACE has more than twenty years experience in scientific research and the development of technical and ethical standards for foods for special dietary needs
     IDACE is a natural partner for European officials and politicians to turn to for information and expertise

     IDACE actively supports efforts to increase public information and education about nutritional needs
